"Odinga's Running Mate Should Be A Woman From Mt Kenya" Odinga's Ally Says, Reveals Preferred Choice

With less than four months remaining to the upcoming general elections, the issue of running mate for both Deputy President William Ruto and the Orange Democratic Party Leader Raila Odinga remains under the carpet, with both politicians keen to make the best choice for a deputy which will also not make them lose support in some region.

There have been speculations that both Ruto and Odinga will choose a running mate from the Mt. Kenya region, a vote-rich region.

Now the former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, who is a close ally to Raila Odinga has reacted to an opinion from Political analyst Peter Kagwanja, where he allegedly opined that Odinga should not pick a running mate from the Mountain. But in his view, Kidero cited that instead, Odinga should choose a Woman from the Mountain.

He said that Odinga needs someone who will come to assist him but not a person who will be competing with him.

"Good Morning, I have seen the views expressed by peter kagwanja that Raila Odinga should not pick his running mate from mount Kenya. The running mate should be a woman from mount Kenya, who is polished, respected, a worker bee, and not a person who’ll be competing with Jakom for the presidential stage and space.A true assistant." Kidero Said.

He went ahead to say that from his view, the best-suited one is Margaret Kobia, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Youth and Gender

"..Nobody fits this requirement better than Prof. Marg is Kobia, PhD, EGH Cabinet secretary for public service youth and Gender. Watch the space." He added
