Opinion: Why UDA Might Win Against Wiper in Masumba Ward By-Election

Photo. Ruto and UDA candidate in Masumba Ward by-election

Masumba Ward by-election is taking shape and it's clear as things stand the by-election is taking shape as a two horse race between UDA party and Wiper party. The by-election is taking shape and it's clear as things stand UDA is taking a positive move given DP Ruto inroads in the Ukambani region.

UDA has already the support of grassroot leaders among them Jonathan Mueke and Johnstone Muthama as well a host of several Wiper affiliated MCA's. This just confirms that as things stand UDA might thrash Wiper in the Masumba by-election which is expected to happen come October 14th just a few days to come.

The fact of the matter is that the by-election is taking shape clearly with Ruto inroads in Ukambani counties being real and solid. It's clear Wiper party is losing popularity in it's own strongholds with Ruto massively getting in through some of the local leaders.

However as always we wish all the candidates all the best in the by-election hoping the best candidate will take it. Clearly as things stand Wiper as a party seems to have lost the support of most leaders given the poor development record of Wiper party leader in the region.
