Analyst Leaks Impact On Uhuru If SC Upholds Ruto's Victory Today

Political analyst Fred Sasia thinks President Uhuru Kenyatta will be among the biggest losers if the Supreme Court upholds the win of Deputy President William Ruto

Ruto was declared the winner of the presidential election on August 15 by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati. The news, however, was opposed by Raila Odinga's followers who thought there had been some type of rigging.

Sasia claimed that Raila would do better if the former prime minister won the election after formally endorsing him.

Because he had earlier said that Ruto was a terrible candidate and shouldn't be allowed near the position of power, he asserted that Uhuru's dishonor would also be increased by Ruto's election to the presidency.

Uhuru would also be refused the position of advisor that he had been offered in Raila's administration.

Ruto asserted that if the court overturns his victory, he must win the rematch to avoid becoming the first Kenyan to lose after having their victory overturned.

He added that Ruto will break a long-standing record by becoming the first Kenyan to earn the coveted job on his first try as evidence of his success.

Ruto made an effort to convince the Supreme Court judges that his triumph was legal with the aid of his attorneys, dismissing Raila's claims as the screams of a bitter loser unwilling to accept his defeat.
