National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya Concedes Defeat After Losing to UDA Candidate

National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya has finally broken his silence after losing in the just concluded Parliamentary elections in his constituency.

This comes a time when Amos Kimunya has lost his quest to becoming the Member of Parliament for Kipipiri constituency.

UDA candidate and Nyandarua Woman Representative Wanjiku Muhia has got the lead in the Kipipiri Parliamentary conquest.

After losing, Kimunya has broken his silence hinting that the people's choice has defied his expectations hence he is ready to take a back seat from political scheme.

He has congratulated his opponent on the win and thanked the people of Kipipiri for entrusting him with power.

"The people made their decision which was different from our expectations but in a democracy, the will of the people prevails....The election was historic and will hopefully offer a moment of reflection. We appreciate that life is dynamic, shaped by constantly emerging and often surprising circumstances," Kimunya said as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
