DP Ruto Reveals How Kiambaa MP Saved UDA Despite Being Unknown

While giving a speech in Gachia, Kiambaa Constituency Kiambu County after a church service, Ruto expressed how happy he was that God enabled the area's current Member of Parliament John Njuguna Wanjiku to win elections.

He revealed that UDA party was under stress when two of its candidates left for other parties when Kiambaa general elections were close. They did not have anyone known to carry the name of the party but Wanjiku volunteered to take that position. They just accepted because they had no choice but were sure Wanjiku was going to fail.

DP Ruto said that he did not believe when Wanjiku won the elections and saved the UDA party's name because he is not from a prominent family and had no political networks.

He said that the MP was God chosen since it is not easy to win elections in Kenya when you are unknown and have no financial muscles.

According to the DP, Wanjiku is a true example of the Bottom-up Economic Model's doing since he rose from nothing to sit on the same seat that was occupied by Mbiu Koinange, Stanley Githunguri and Njenga Karume.

He quoted Psalms 113:7-8 that says God will raise the poor from the dust to sit on the same table with kings and Princes. That Wanjiku is a testimony in our nation that God can lift those at the bottom of a pyramid to become something.
