DP Ruto was recently exposed by residents of Bungoma after making empty promises to them. The small scale vegetable vendors and the boda boda riders cried out that Ruto had promised to give them two million as handouts but he failed to honour his promise. They felt disappointed by DP Ruto. The traders claimed that they need their dues as they had waited for long.
However, Edwin Sifuna issued a warning to Kenyans on not letting DP Ruto leave after a rally before he gives out the money. He said that Ruto is known for making fake promises and they must be very keen about him. In his remarks Sifuna claimed that, "Hizi ni gani @WilliamsRuto ? Mama mboga wa chepkube pia ni mama mboga bwana wacha hizi. To all Mama mbogas across Kenya, huyu mkora akikuja kwenu na hii 'milioni' yake mpange line mchukue kwa mkono yake direct. Msiache atoke. Ni mkora."
Kenyans exposed ODM camp after his attack on Ruto. During his campaign in Kilifi Raila received a warm reception from one of the ladies in the region. Kadzo Saro embraced him with great joy. However, there were claims that Raila gave handouts to her.
