Forget DP Ruto, Alfred Mutua Denied Permission to Hold Political Meeting, Complies with Denial

The government have declared it's stand on political meetings. Presidential directive issued by the first in command that required that politics be withheld so that he could have better times to work for the Kenyans have continued to work. Alfred Mutua is the most recent to feel the pinch of the directive.

Few hours after the police prohibited DP Ruto from attending a Church fundraiser in Mumias, The Machakos Governor have lately joined Deputy President Dr William Ruto in feeling the pain or the law after his planned tour scheduled for Embu County was prohibited by police.

According to Mutua who wrote on his Twitter account, he has complied with the directive:


I was denied permission to hold my listening tours in Embu yesterday and today because my letter, notifying the police of the tours had arrived late. I complied with the denials." Said Mutua

However, Mutua critisized the move by the state, saying that care must be considered to ensure not to deny MWANANCHI a chance to expression:

"However, we have to be careful and watchful that security issues are not used to deny Wananchi of their constitutional rights to enjoy freedom of expression and assembly as clearly expressed in our new constitution. The Listen Tours Continue." He added
