Since president Uhuru Kenyatta introduced lockdown in the country in five counties, Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Nakuru and Mombasa, which are the epicenter of the country in terms of economy, many Kenya's are finding it hard to put food on the table as a result of closure or reduced number of workers in industries and factories.
Now many Kenya's are demanding president Uhuru Kenyatta to reopen economy so that this crisis the country is going through can reduce. As parents start to prepare back to school next month on 10th, it will be good president Uhuru to remove lockdown.
In last address to the nation, Uhuru Kenyatta promised to open economy only if the rate of infection drop to less than 5%. Recent reports on COVID-19 updates by CS Kagwe shows that infection rate has drop to range of 9-10%
We should expect the removal of lockdown, opening of economy and reopening of schools including universities and colleges where physical learning was closed across the country in upcoming nation address by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Meanwhile, we should continue following rules and regulations of COVID-19 by observing social distance, washing hands with sanitizer and wearing of face mask. By doing so, for sure it will not take long time before president Opens the economy across the country.
