Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga's point man Prof Makau Mutua has predicted what will befall Deputy President William Ruto after the eagerly awaited August 9 poll.
DP Ruto and the ODM leader Raila Odinga are the two main horses in this tough race with each side setting its arsenal ready to fire its final bullet on election day.
Prof Mutua has predicted a 'very hard' fall for DP Ruto. According to Makau, DP Ruto is going to find himself in the worst situation for the first time since 1997 he was elected to join parliament at the age of 31.
Prof Mutua has noted that since then, DP Ruto has always held a position in the government but the coming general election will see him stay out for a while.
The Professor noted that DP Ruto is going to become a former deputy and just an ordinary citizen after the polls
"@WilliamsRuto will FALL hard — VERY HARD — on August 9. For the first time since 1997 (when he was 31) — a quarter-century — he will have no official position within the state either in the legislature or executive. He will become RAIA again. The political wilderness awaits," he said.
However, DP Ruto believes he has the capacity to win the election.
