The Vocal Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator, Hon Kipchumba Murkomen has taken a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta over his long speech during the State of the Nation Address on Tuesday evening.

Through his Social media page, Murkomen cited that the parliament should pass a law which will set the maximum time that the future presidents will take in the State of the Nation Address. Murkomen allegedly quoted one scholar Winston Churchill's words citing that a good speech should be like a Woman's Skirt.

"Parliament should pass law to set the maximum time that future Presidents will take in the State of the Nation Address. Like Winston Churchill said ,a good speech should be like woman’s skirt ….” Murkomen Wrote.

Kenyans expressed different opinion over Murkomen's remarks some Concurring with his opinion citing that the level of concentration us usually 30 minutes which the president should take.

"I agree with you, 30 minutes max, the rest we can read by ourselves.. And notably, all the stuff in Madaraka speech are repeated in mashujaa day speech, jamhuri, and state of the nation speech!" One Commentator Reacted.

Others however told off Murkomen citing that he is supposed to raise such issue in parliament instead if doing it in the social media.
