Education CAS Zach Kinuthia has bitterly expressed his frustration with the latest ruling on BBI judgement by High Court. Speaking in a video shared by Nation on Twitter the young CAS has claimed that judges of the high court Should be elected just like members of Parliament, Governors or President so that they can be held accountable.
" Let's not forget where we are coming from.if we can elect Didmus Barasa, if we can install Tim Wanyonyi and remove him from office, even by constitutional terms that a governor cannot go more than two terms. An MP is deemed to have finished after two terms, although that is people's perception. If we can go that route, we can ask judges of High Court to be elected by people so that they are also accountable," said Zach Kinuthia.
I'm not saying we do that tomorrow, but if a Governor is accountable to the people, if a president shakes towards elections because they know they have to be accountable once again, Mps back to the people, why can't we hold judges accountable to the people they can also make bad decision. What are we going to as a country? This is Political, I say it because this is how I feel it. A Judge is deemed to be appointed for life, in good and in bad behavior. Nobody is going to remove them from office only death can switch off their air, lakini wewe mwananchi hata huwezi meza kitu kwa haraka," Ranted Zach Kinuthia.
