Canadian Based Kenya Lawyer, a self-proclaimed NRM General, Joshua Miguna Miguna has reacted to reports circulating on news outlets that Siaya Governor, Cornel Rasanga is eyeing to be the MP after his two terms of being of a Governor comes to an end in 2022.
According to Citizen TV, the Siaya Governor has declared interest in being the next MP of Alego Usonga which has sparked a reaction from the current of the constituency, Samuel Atandi. Atandi has stated that he is ready to battle it out with Rasanga but he should be prepared for a very stiff competition.
Miguna was appalled by the reports and stated that Governors just like the President are totally not allowed to vie for the position of being a Senator, Women Representative and after their tenure of being the head of a county expires.
He said that those positions are lower than the Governorship role and maybe Rasanga should consider seeking to either become a Bishop or a Pope.
