Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu said leaders allied to Ruto have been busy making noise after President Uhuru said that he will not hand over power to a thief or someone who will divide the country.
Wambugu questioned if the thief is so special that he or she has caught the attention of DP Ruto’s team following their reaction.
The MP however said that President Uhuru’s remark was reasonable after he warned that his intention is to not leave power to someone who will steal from Kenyans when his term comes to an end in 2022.
“Nimeona watu wa Tangawizi wakipiga kelele sana about what the President said. I assumed that what he said is obvious. Who would want to live Kenya to thieves!? Ama this thief is special?” said Wambugu.
Wambugu’s remarks come after a section of DP Ruto’s allies came out guns blazing leaving a message to President Uhuru on who the country will elect to be their next leader.
The Tangatanga leaders told Uhuru that he will not get to decide for Kenyans who he will hand over power to as they urged him to concentrate of his duties before his term comes to an end.
Politicians from DP Ruto’s camp said the person who will get the country’s top seat will be chosen by Kenyans as they reminded President Uhuru that he has no power when it comes to choosing the next president.
