The deputy President William Ruto has suffered a major blow ahead of the August 9th polls as his main opponent gets the support of the giant teachers unions and the doctors union. Raila Odinga has today been endorsed by KMPDU as well KNUT and KUPPET bodies in his fifth stab for the presidency.

The three unions are clear they support Raila's statehouse bid ambitions as opposed to the deputy President William Ruto for they believe he has the best answers. The union bodies are clear they do not support William Ruto. Interestingly, all this union leaders come from the same community as Raila Odinga hence it's not clear of whether they carry the message of a other teachers in the country.

The teachers unions and the doctors unions affirmed if their resolve to rally the country towards ensuring the Azimio coalition wins in round one. It's not clear whether this support will go down to all the teachers who support Azimio course.

As always, let's wait and see of what unfolds going into the August 9th polls given the deputy President William Ruto has been speaking to teachers and professionals as well seeking their support but seemingly most of them are comfortable with Raila Odinga.
