Governor of Siaya James Orengo has requested a meeting with Raila Odinga from President William Ruto.
On January 14, at Eliud Owalo, ICT Cabinet Secretaryhomecoming ,'s ceremony in Siaya, Orengo indicated that the action will help to bring the nation together after the general election of 2017.
President, please. I'm requesting this from you in an inclusive manner rather than a handshake manner. Because the elections are done, I implore you to join your brother Raila Amolo Odinga at the table of brotherhood, Orengo said to Ruto.
He further disclosed that he was requested to welcome President Ruto to Siaya County by the previous prime minister.
Governor Orengo continued, "I spoke to Raila Amolo Odinga, and he stated that I should pass on his word of welcome and that you should feel at home.
His comments came a day after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua disclosed that the opposition leader is being cared for by the Kenya Kwanza government.
"Baba is OK with us, and the election season is over. We only ran into issues when trying to find power. President William Ruto provides for Baba's cars and security since he is a valued member of our administration, according to Gachagua, who spoke on Friday, January 13, in Homa Bay.
