Provisional Presidential Results As At 21:15PM Released

Official presidential election results from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission show a close race between former prime minister Raila Odinga and deputy president William Ruto (IEBC).

With 2,288,315 votes, former prime minister Raila Odinga is above of vice president William Ruto's 2,036,795 votes. Roughly 20,000 people have voted, with about 10% favoring Professor George Wajackoyah.

Around 53% of votes were counted, with Raila Odinga becoming president and the vice president receiving around 47%. So far, 4,355,279 of the 6,623,173 registered voters who have been reported have been verified as casting legal votes, while 36,115 have been deemed to be invalid.
