Recently there have been pretty lots of demolitions in Kisumu city as the county government transforms the outlook and improve various social and economic activities in the city . In the process Kisumu Boys a school that dates back to 100 years and a marked and preserved public property in Kisumu town is also set to be demolished to give room for expansion of the Lakeside City's Central Business District. The school will then he moved to a more rural district as the county government goes on to change the outside structure of the CBD .
The city administration states that they really need the grounds for the construction of malls and business buildings. The new plan by the county government , city management and the Lake Front Development Corporation is that the main terminus , Kisumu Girls , Manyatta Arabs School ,the county referral and the Jua Kali market will also face the same inevitable event just as Kisumu Boys .
