Dennis Itumbi, a former State House digital strategist, has spoken out after David Nzioka was appointed to take his place as a result of President William Ruto's nomination.
Itumbi congratulated Nzioka in a post on his social media accounts, claiming that the two were sacked jointly by the late president Uhuru Kenyatta.
He claimed that amid their trials, God had been with them, and that he has now returned to State House as the boss of the digital strategist.
"Congratulations to the new State House Digital and Innovations boss David Nzioka. A few years ago we were kicked out. Today you return as The Secretary Digital. Nevertheless GOD! Well done. I wish you well as you serve bro." read Itumbi'spost.
In Ruto's office, Nzioka was welcomed by the communications team, which was headed by the director of communications.
The Public Service Commission deemed the jobs held by Itumbi, James Kinyua, Erick Ng'eno, David Nzioka, and John Ndolo redundant in a circular dated March 18, 2020.
