Barely a year before the 2022 general election different politicians across the country are aligning themselves for the 2022 presidential election as Deputy President William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga are in the front line in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the former senate deputy speaker Kithure Kindiki the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is now well prepared for the 2022 General Election and what is currently remaining is the Presidential candidates are supposed to declare whether they are going to accept the result of the upcoming polls.
This comes at a time where different political factions are battling to compete in the upcoming election and the Senator has urged the candidates to be ready to accept the outcomes of the election as the commission is ready for the election.
"What remains now is a public commitment of Presidential Candidates that they will unequivocally accept the results announced by the IEBC and if dissatisfied with them will challenge them in Court and abide by & respect the Court’s decision."
Meanwhile, do you think that the presidential candidates will accept the outcome of the 2022 polls unlike the previous election, share your thoughts?
