David Ole Sankok representative of persons with disabilities in the Parliament has shocked Kenyans after announcing that he made thousands of money during Raila's rally in Ewaso Nyiro.
Sankok has said that when , he heard that Raila Odinga was to visit the area, his home turf as he put it, he did not see a political enemy but rather saw a Business opportunity.
According to Sankok, because Raila has a tendency of hiring people attend his rallies, he therefore thought that the former prime minister would want to buy them maasai shukas so as for them to pretend to be Maasai's while in Narok.
Ole Sankok therefore bought 1000 maasai shukas at sh480 each. He later sold them at sh 700 each making a profit of sh220 per shuka.
Because he had bought 1000 shukas, he earned a gross profit of sh 220,000.
According to Sankok, some of the people he hired to sell the shukas were also strategically located among the crowd.
