Wetangula Raids Azimio Camp, Walks Out With Their Candidate As He Targets To Beat UDA In By-election

Speaker Moses Wetangula has today pulled out a major political move ahead of the eagerly awaited Bungoma senatorial by-election

The seat fell vacant after Wetangula resigned and contested for the National Assembly Speaker seat which he comfortably won courtesy of the Kenya Kwanza numbers in the house

Wetangula has today welcomed Professor Charles Ngome back to Ford Kenya. The highly rated professor was Azimio's Bungoma Senatorial candidate in the last general election after he ditched Ford Kenya and joined DAP-K.

He, however, lost to Wetangula.

With the by-election in place, Ford Kenya is expected to have Professor Ngome as their candidate. Ngome stands a better chance of winning the seat considering he had already laid the ground during the last election

"Receiving Prof. Charles Kibanani Ngome, former Deputy Governor, Bungoma County, back into the fold from @DAP_Kenya this morning," Wetangula said.

Sources recently indicated that the by-election in Bungoma had divided Kenya Kwanza leaders. This is after UDA settled on former Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga for the seat, a move that was opposed by Ford Kenya.

Ford Kenya is allegedly not ready to lose the Bungoma Seat. With Prof Ngoma back to Ford Kenya, there are higher chances Ford Kenya is going to beat UDA's Mwambu Mabonga, who lost to Jack Wamboka of DAP-K in the last general election after vying on the UDA ticket
