In terms of body frame, Farouk Kibet is a very small man. But beyond this, he is such a powerful man who has a very big say in President William Ruto's inner circle.
As the President's PA, Kibet can be likened to Joshua Kulei, a one-time powerful aide to former President Daniel Arap Moi.
Because of the power he enjoys, his name is often whispered in low tones. After all, he is today's version of the Nicholas Biwott " Total Man" who was Moi's right-hand man.
If you step on his shoes, it is very likely that you have stepped on the shoes of the President himself. As such, many people may not be very comfortable dealing with him.
Accessing the President today may not be easy unless with the consent of this man- Farouk Kibet.
The fact that he has served in the position for over a decade confirms how much the President trusts him. In fact, it would be fair to say that he is very close to the President more than anyone else save3 for his family members.
This is Kibet for you. A man who rose from nowhere to the inner sanctums of power. Just a few years ago, he was a Nominated Councillor. But today, he is the engine running Ruto's political and personal activities. Yes, he is the real power broker and "Total Man" of this government.
In one recent political rally in Rift Valley, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro admitted that Kibet was so powerful that even Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will have to clear with him before being allowed to meet the President.
