BBI Suffers Huge Blow in Mt Kenya

President Uhuru Kenyatta spearheaded the launch of the signatures collection exercise last week. The exercise is taking place in all parts of Kenya. The exercise is being led by local leaders especially members of parliament and Members of the County Assembly.

In Mt Kenya East region that is mainly inhabited by Ameru, Mbeere and Aembu communities. The region has more than eighteen members of parliament. The three Governors from the region came together yesterday to launch a signature collection exercise. The meeting was supposed to be attended all MPs from the region.

To the surprise of many only two members of parliament attended the meeting. This means sixteen MPs did not attend the event. The event that took place in China town was attended by Honourable Rahim Dawood who is an MP for Imenti North constituency and Honourable Maoke Maire.

Leaders who are allied to Dr Ruto for instance, Meru Senator Mithika Linturi, Tharaka Nithi Senator Honourable Kithure Kindiki, Meru Woman Rep Kawira Mwangaza, Embu Woman Rep Jane Wanjuki, and all the other MPs other than Dawood and Maore.
