The deputy president of the republic of Kenya will be touring Kirinyaga county today. Governor Ann Waiguru is playing host to the Dp and group. She had earlier on distributed reflector jackets inscribed UDA, Ann Waiguru. In a turn of events, a section of the residents have gone to the road and burned down the jackets. They gave a contrary message on their stand. They demonstrated saying they don't want the DP and team to tour the area.
At around 9.30 this morning Her Excellency had posted on her wall that the DCI had summoned her supporters. In her post she said that the DCI wanted to summon and interrogate them. The same allegations were put forward by Dennis Itumbi. They termed that as intimidation from the government. They stated the ground is buster and nothing can deter them.
Earlier this week, Kirinyaga women rep, Hon Wangui Ngirici had given a statement which seemed to part ways with UDA. This could be the other possible reason for skirmishes and scuffle in the area. Even this morning Hon Wangui Ngirici has stated she would be heading to ACK church. Some youths have called for the cancelation of the trip. This information is based on NTV post.
