Renowned Saudi Central Bank Advisor Mohammed Wehliye has now reacted to alleged endorsement comment by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
It should be remembered that the two former political nemesis buried their political hate in 2018 through the famous golden handshake that brought back stability after disputed 2017 presidential results.
Since then, the duo have walked almost the same political path with a number of incidences the President being quoted to supporting Raila Odinga.
The ODM party boss accompanied the President during his Kibra development tour on Wednesday and speaking to the residents, Uhuru hinted at working with the former Prime Minister.
He said the handshake brought peace hence major development projects have been undertaken since then.
“When we came together, didn't we experience peace? So where is the problem? Isn’t that what we want? Don’t we want that work to continue? It is up to you. Will you make wise choices? Let us see how you will do it,” President Kenyatta told the jubilant crowd.
However, the Saudi Banker has now maintained that the President should not endorse Raila in his perceived stronghold but take him to Mt Kenya parts.
''We don't need H.E President Uhuru endorsing BABA in Kibera. That is like endorsing Biden while in California. We need the endorsement at Karimamwaro!''said Mohammed Wehliye.
