The 2022 presidential elections are just around the corner with several candidates expressing interest in taking over from President Kenyatta when his term comes to an end in 2022.

The race has so far shown that it is likely to be a two-horse race between the current Deputy President William Ruto and Odm leader Raila Odinga.

Both leaders have hit the ground running as they look to popularize their presidential bids. The likes of Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi, Rueben Kigame, Jimmy Wanjigi, and William Kabogo have also registered their interest in the top seat.

The Mt Kenya region leaders who have been eyeing the Presidency have also been drafting strategy plans on the best suitable candidate. Kiambu Governor H.E James Nyoro has shared details of a plan to field two cabinet secretaries in a Presidential bid.

According to Nyoro, there have been talks to have Fred Matiangi run for Presidency with Health CS Mutahi Kagwe as his running mate. However, the plan is currently hindered by the fact that the two are not allowed to participate in politics until February next year.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly
