Huge Blow To Raila's Camp As Raila May Miss Out At The Ballot Box Should The Court Order Go Through

Former prime minister Raila Odinga is looking forward to becoming the 5th president, and this looks much better as not less than 30 governors endorsed him yesterday. But now, he has received another setback after a petition was filled in court to stop his presidential bid.

The petitioners, George Bush and John Kenga, also want the court to compel Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti, Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji and Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to institute criminal charges against Raila.

According to the standard newspaper, the two petitioners claim that Raila has never been called to account for his January 30, 2018 act. They also added that they want ODM party barred from fielding candidates over the parallel swearing-in ceremony.

This has come as a major setback for Raila Odinga's camp as they will now have to move to court to challenge the petition. Do you agree with this petition?
