President Ruto has already arrived at Mount Kenya for an interdenominational prayer service being held by various churches in the county of Embu. Just a few minutes had passed since Ruto's return to the country following a daylong tour of South Sudan's neighboring countries in East Africa.

Since assuming the reins of power, this is the first trip that President Ruto has made to the Embu region. He was accompanied by the region's governor, Cecily Mbarire, and Mr. Josphat Nanok, a former governor of Turkana.

Ruto has a busy day planned since he will likely preside over multiple local activities and hold a rally to express his gratitude to the community for exercising their democratic right to vote for him in the August elections.
In the recently completed elections, Embu County was one of The Few Counties In The Nation To Support The Routers Administration.
