Deputy President William Ruto made a stop over in Kimana Town in Kajiado County, where he was greeted cordially by the locals. His coming came just hours after a successful two-day meeting with Kamba leaders from lower Eastern region. The leaders pledged to support and fight for him in the region in 2022.
Ruto's visit comes just days after ODM leader Raila Odinga toured the region, where he was met by area governor Ole Lenku. The Kajiado Governor stated that UDA is not wanted in the region and that the region will be entirely under Raila Odinga by 2022.
Ruto, who addressed the Mammoth Crowd who had turned up to greet him reaffirmed his commitment to working for the least fortunate in society, adding that it would be his first priority once he takes office in 2022.
