Speaker Wetang'ula Hosts President Ruto For Lunch At Member's Canteen In Parliament, Shares Photos

Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, hosted President William Ruto for lunch at the member’s canteen in Parliament.

The head of state today made an impromptu visit to Parliament.

Sources privy to the reports revealed that president Ruto was welcomed by Speakers of both the National Assembly (Moses Wetang’ula) and Senate (Amason Kingi) at the members' lounge for lunch.

This comes barely a day when the National Assembly held yesterday a first plenary sitting since its official inauguration last week by the president.

Moses Wetang’ula confirmed that he is going to make a ruling on the report of House majority leadership on Thursday at 2.30 pm.

Kenya Kwanza coalition and Azimio are now fighting for the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, with debates of which political formation has the largest number of MPs.

Wetang’ula on Tuesday said that he will rule on the issue of the National Assembly leadership fairly.
