Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya are among the civil servants who are set to resign on or latest 9th February 2022 following the directive issued by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that all civil servants eyeing elective posts resign 6 months to August 9th to election.
The father of three boys, two in college and one in high school Revealed that he sets to follow the footsteps of former Internal Security Minister John Michuki.
“I think I have reached the apex of my career in the civil service and I am now ready for a fresh challenge,” he said, adding that he intends to vie for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat. He replied after being asked about his 2022 plans.
He was optimistic that he won't have a problem switching from provincial administration to politics since it is all about service to the people. If he runs for governor, he will square it out with, among others Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa and Trans Nzoia Woman Rep Janet Nangabo, who have declared interest in the seat.
