President William Ruto visited Raila Odinga's stronghold Nyanza region where he was welcomed like a king by leaders from the region. Amongst the leaders that welcomed the head of state includes Homabay County Governor her Excellency Gladys Wanga, Migori Governor his Excellency Ochilo Ayako, Nyando parliamentarian Hon Jared Okello, Senator Moses Kajwang, Walter Owino, Paul About from Rongo amongst others
The leaders from the region have showed the highest level of maturity in democracy after showing their desire to work with the president bearing in mind he defeated their kingpin Hon Raila Odinga. Earlier during campaign trails President William Ruto's was pelted with stones in Kondele but the leaders have come out in large number to show that they are together with the head of state.
It's in public domain that Hon Gladys Wanga alleged that she is ready to work with the national government to ensure there is development in the region as it is the key agenda of the devolution.
