EALA MP Allegedly Pleads to Have his Party Headline Kiagu Ward Campaigns in Meru

Kiagu Ward by elections slated on 14th October has turned out to be the centre of attraction for both politicians and political parties.

This has seen big political formations like deputy president William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Jubilee field a candidate in the ward.

The Jubilee party National Management Committee(NMC) held a meeting at Serena hotel where they discussed several issues among them the probability of Jubilee candidate winning this seat.

From the information shared by tangatanga blogger Dennis Itumbi,a recent survey showed that the candidate they were looking up to would be defeated by the UDA candidate since both come from same place and that the UDA candidate is stronger at home.

This made East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member of parliament Mpuru Aburi urge the meeting that instead of Jubilee sponsoring a candidate,he and agriculture cabinet secretary Peter Munya could headline the campaigns.

Although the meeting headed with a common solution,it was very clear that Jubilee would rather quit than have UDA compete them in Meru county.
