The incumbent deputy president William Ruto is set to vie for a top governmental seat through his UDA party. This came after the betrayal by his boss Uhuru who showed signs of endorsing the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. However, the DP remains the most competitive contestant who's giving his opponents sleepless nights.
To begin with, Ruto has amassed a huge number of supporters nationwide through his regular political campaigns. This is an added advantage since he is assured of many votes which might make him beat his fellow aspirants. Also, the popular Hustler Nation Movement has given him much public acceptance since it seeks to uplift the less fortunate citizens.
Furthermore, Dr. Ruto has worked with the government for quite some time and has gained a lot of leadership skills. His age is also favorable compared to that of Odinga thus Kenyans might prefer a younger leader who's strong to serve. The following are cartoon illustrations of some of his struggles as he searches for votes.
We wish him all the best, let's advocate for peace and unity in our country during the election period. Thanks for going through this article, kindly share it with friends.
