List Of the Top Five Fluent English Speaking Countries in Africa

After colonization, most African countries adapted English and made it an official language. English is widely used in institutions such as schools, work places and even in most churches. Being a universal language, it has helped strengthen the relationship between various countries. Being a good English speaker here in Africa means a lot and grants one many opportunities. Below are the top five fluent English speaking countries in Africa.

1. KENYA.

Kenya was ranked the best in Africa. Despite the fact that Kenya has many ethnic groups amounting to forty two, English and Swahili are the official languages. English is however commonly used than Kiswahili.

2. South Africa.

South Africa is a country located in the Southeast part of Africa. She has eleven official languages but was still ranked the second best English speaking country. 

3. UGANDA.

According to the report by the World Linguistic Society, Uganda has been ranked third. The country widely use English in various schools, institutions and government addressing. 

4. GHANA.

Ghana is also a multilingual country and there are about 80 languages spoken in the country. English is the official language. The widely spoken primary local language is Akan.

5. ZAMBIA.

Just like Zambia, its a multilingual country with a total of 73 spoken languages. English is however the official language.
