After a conflict broke out between key figures in Kenya Kwanza's camp, division and betrayal are looming in President William Ruto's party.
As reported by Nation, Murang'a Women representative Ms. Betty Maina has accused Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Alice Wahome of being a traitor in the just concluded bi-elections.
Miss Maina, who had accused Wahome of being a plumber rather than a water CS, was taken aback by the fact that Wahome had refused to support any candidates in an effort to select her replacement.
After being nominated for the position of Cabinet Secretary in Ruto's government, Wahome's seat was left vacant. However, things didn't turn out well for Wahome as Murang'a leaders believe she has betrayed Ruto's UDA party.
Defending herself, Wahome asserted that she is one of Murang'a voters and therefore as per the law, she wasn't supposed to back any candidate in kandara bi-election.
Meanwhile besides Maina and Wahome, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja are still fighting underway despite claims that everything is okay between the two Ruto's aide.
In an interview with Inooro, Gachagua revealed that he's the deputy president and therefore matatu operators Shouldn't follow any order from Sakaja.
Meanwhile, let's wait and see what happens next.
