Support My Gubernatorial Bid, Professor Kutima Asks Residents Of Ikolomani

Deputy Governor H.E Prof Philip Kutima has asked residents of Ikolomani Sub County to support his gubernatorial bid in 2022.

Prof Kutima said he will build on the solid foundation built by H.E Dr FCPA Wycliffe Oparanya to effectively run the county.

He said with the experience he has gained for the last nine years he is capable of continuing with the development agenda of Dr Oparanya.

"I urge you to walk with me in this journey of succeeding my boss H.E Dr Oparanya. I have enough experience to move this County forward," Prof Kutima told mourners at Ivonda Primary School in Ikolomani during the funeral service of Mama Claire Luvega, mother to Dr Collins Matemba (CECM for Health Services).

The Deputy Governor asked residents especially youths to register as voters during the ongoing mass voter registration.

In his condolence message read by Prof Kutima, Governor H.E Dr Oparanya mourned Mama Claire as a professional teacher who served with dedication and passion.

He said the late Mama Claire mentored many people whom she taught in various schools giving them hope and a bright future.

"Her death has robbed not only her family but the entire County a selfless and insightful person who advised and guided many people," said the Governor.

Ikolomani MP Hon Bernard Shinali asked residents to ensure they register as voters if they want to benefit from NG-CDF services and programmes.

"For one to benefit from CDF and County programmes he/she must be a registered voter for those who are 18 years and above and those who are below their parents must prove that they are voters," said Shinali.

CECM for Sports Mr Kassim Were, Chief Officers; Dr Brenda Makokha (Health Projects), Eng Joseph Sweta (Roads) and Mr Palapala Muteshi (Environment), Governor's Advisor Hon Nabii Nabwera, MCAs, senior officers from National and County Government were present.
