A day before Raila Odinga announces his presidential bid, Governance Consultant Ben Mulwa has claimed that the former Prime Minister must change his politics tactics for him to beat Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 presidential contest.
According to Mulwa, Raila was using the past narratives that did not yield much in his political career, and if he was serious with his presidential candidature, he would request the Jubilee MPs who are have been accompanying him more so in Mount Kenya Region to expose him to the grassroots.
Speaking on K24 TV on Tuesday, Mulwa claims that so far, Raila cannot get more than 21 per cent of the Mount Kenya votes, despite the Kieleweke MPs alluding that he had already scaled up the mountain.
"In Mount Kenya Region, it is impossible today to find a constituency where Raila enjoys more than 21 percent, and unfortunate that is the state of the ground. I feel there are individuals who are lying to Raila who have insisted in misleading him on what is happening in the region," posed Mulwa.
His comment comes at a time when the ODM boss is preparing to bring to end speculations of his next year's political interest during an event that will take place on Friday December 10 at Kasarani.
According to Raila, Jubilee delegates will be among the 60,000 people expected to attend the function.
