Farmer's Party of Kenya leader Mr Irungu Nyakera has reacted on his appointment to the new role as the Chairperson of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority. Nyakera was named yesterday by the president Mr William Ruto to take over the reins at the organization. The Kemsa CEO, board and even a PS were all sacked yesterday with the net's scandal being the last nail on the head to their woes. For some time iver the last few year's, the agency has been riddled with graft. In 2020 during COVID there was the scandal dubbed COVID millionaire's where some funds donated for COVID related purposes was swindled and got lost in people's pockets. The monies amounted to millions of shillings. There have also been drug's and supplies scandals over time and Ruto could have it no more.
Nyakera first of all note's that the agency has been riddled with graft over the last few year's and goes ahead to thank the President for entrusting him with the task. He promises that they will clean the mess and says that is an assurance to Kenyan's. But then, he also notes that it won't be such an easy task.
Nyakera's party is one of those that form the larger Kenya Kwanza alliance and Kenyan's can only hope he delivers on the new mandate. Congratulations to him.
