Nomonated senator Millicent Omanga has never been shy on her standing on the Building Bridges Initiative.
Allied to the Deputy President William Ruto she has been on the opposing camp urging the county assemblies to reject the bill.
The BBI has today achieved the 24 counties threshold and is finally headed to the next stage. This comes as good news to Raila Odinga and his political camp but a hard to swallow pill to their opponents.
Millicent Omanga was among the first to react to unanimous decision by members of county assemblies from different counties.
In her simple and direct statement, she has stated that the bill is now in the hands of Kenyans. She seemed to be referring to the anticipated referrendum incase the bill passes parliament approval.
Despite being a nominated senator, Omanga has attracted a massive following in recent years many of whom have made their minds known.
Many have acknowledged and applauded her efforts and contributions to their political camp at this level and have promised to vote no incase of a referendum.
Several Kenyans have since expressed their views on the matter with some citing cases of alleged bribery of MCAs.
