Angry Youth Storm KFS Station in Nakuru And Burn Down Six Houses

A section of angry youth reportedly stormed the Kenya Forest Service station in Kuresoi North Nakuru County and burnt down six houses belonging to the KFS officers.

This was in retaliation to the alleged arrest and subsequent beating of one of their fellow youth who was caught burning charcoal in the forest.

A KFS officer and his wife are reportedly nursing injuries following the incident. The youth pelted stones at the station that left the officer injured. They also destroyed the station's fencing according to eyewitnesses.

The police have condemned the incident and asked the youth to abide by the law to be on the safe side. They have also arrested two youth suspected to be linked to the incident and are carrying out investigations to get to the root of the matter.

Question is, should the youth be allowed to burn charcoal, especially at these hard economic times? What is your take?
