The race to State House seems to be very tight between the two horses,Odinga and Deputy Ruto who are seen as the frontrunners for the forthcoming 2022 race.
Other presidential aspirants who are also warming up to receive the baton from President Kenyatta are: Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU party leader Gideon Moi, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and the Speaker of the National Assembly Justine Muturi.
Deputy President Ruto migh find it very necessary for him to look the support from OKA leaders or else, he might see Raila's back in the electoral polls .Ruto who have a great support from his backyard Rift Valley, was also targeting full support of the Mount Kenya regions bieng that he was elected together with President Kenyatta in the last two elections. But according to the current political situations, they have divided their popularities in Mount Kenya regions with Odinga.
This shows that he might not get enough votes to win unless he gets some from other regions. And this could only be possible if he is supported by the OKA leaders.
