"I Didn't Have The Honest Imagination That I Would Get This Honour" Kuria Say After Ruto's Appointment, Send Message to Critics

Chama Cha Kazi Party leader Moses Kuria has thanked President William Ruto after he appointed him for the position of the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Trade, Investment and Industry.

Kuria who has been a vocal supporter and defender of Ruto since his fall out with his former boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, contested for the Kiambu gubernatorial position during the August 9th elections, but lost to the United Democratic Alliance, UDA candidate Kimani Wamatangi.

The Former Gatundu South member of parliament was among other political loyalist allied to Ruto's team and who have made it to the Cabinet.

Speaking with Citizen TV hours after the appointment, Kuria said that he was not expecting such a position, although he knew that he was going to work with Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance government in one way or another.

"I feel great, and thank God. This is a dream come true for me, and do take this opportunity to thank my friend the president Dr William Ruto. We have traveled this journey together, but the most important think is that we share the common vision of where we want the country to be."

"I am ready to support him and ensure that we take this country to great levels of development never seen before. I did not imagine that I will get this honour, but I knew we will work together. The president is a man who keeps his words," he added.

The vocal Mount Kenya politician cheekily told off critics of his 'casual' dressing saying that they will get used to him, now that he will be rocking suits.

"What most people don't know is that I have been a politician and a technocrat all my life, so they will get used to seeing me in suits because the position is fairly global in nature."
