Despite Nyanza being considered Raila Odinga's political bedroom, President William Ruto has been advised to travel there more frequently.
Daniel Juma, the county director of the Global Peace Foundation, warned Ruto that his regular trips might result in a lot of developments in Nyanza.
This invitation was sent months after Ruto was stoned while running for office in Kondele. Juma claims that since Ruto is now the president—a position that stands for unity—Nyanza is happy to have him.
Through his frequent food gifts, Ruto has been attempting to persuade Nyanza officials, but his attempts have so far failed because CS Eliud Owalo has been met with opposition and revolt.
"For him, Nyanza is prepared. Let him go there and talk to the people about how they might desire their lives to be better by government initiatives, "As Daniel Juma pointed out.
