The General election in Kenya are usually held after every five years. In the Presidential seat, the President of the Republic of Kenya is required to serve in two terms of five years each. The current President, his excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is set to retire having served the country since twenty twelve.Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has been deputized by William Ruto in his both terms as the President of Kenya. In this year's election, William Ruto is among the candidates vying for the Presidential seat, looking to succeed his boss, Uhuru Kenyatta and become the fifth President of Kenya.
The deputy President will however face stiff competition from other Presidential aspirants with the likes of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka among others. According to recent research, Kalonzo Musyoka submitted his Presidential bid to IEBC ten days ago.
