UDA aspirant turns emotional after voters turned out in large numbers to fund his campaign

Dr. Erick Mutai Kipkoech had a good Saturday after voters from Litein Jericho county turned out in large numbers to raise funds to support his campaigns. Kipkoech will be running for Kericho gubernatorial seat in the coming August general elections in United Democratic Alliance ticket.

The aspirant who will face former CS Charles Keter in UDA nominations lacked funds to run his campaigns ahead of the coming party primaries, this pushed him to call for fundraiser aimed at funding his campaigns across the county and to his surprise, voters turned out in large numbers to raise funds exceeding his expectations.

Mutai turned emotional while addressing the citizens who turned out to contribute the little they have despite the high cost of living the citizens are currently facing, Mutai went to an extent of shedding tears on the stage as he could not hide his joy. Many politicians have unsuccessfully held political fundraisers and this was arguably the best fundraiser a politician has ever had.

"The great people of Litein turned up in large numbers to welcome and engage us this evening. I was truly humbled and blessed by the hustlers who spontaneously fundraised to finance my campaigns." Eric Mutai Kipkoech wrote through his Twitter account.
