According to Maina Kamanda, he has informed that the Mountain region is now ripe to accommodate Raila Odinga as President Uhuru's successor alleging that "the president is bringing together a team of loyalists to block the lie that DP Ruto is spreading in Mt Kenya."
Maina Kamanda's statements have also received support from Esther Passaris and who has informed that as the people of Mt Kenya region, they are not going to be mobilized to rally their support behind a person who is a stranger, and neither will they reject their own[President Uhuru].
"We will not accept to be mobilized to reject one of our own (President Kenyatta) in support of a stranger (DP Ruto)," Esther Passaris has said.
The former Nairobi Legislator has said that they are ready to follow the direction of President Uhuru matters his succession extending that if Raila Odinga is Uhuru's choice, then, they have no choice but to support him.
Earlier Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe had also informed in an interview with one of the media houses that they are planning to wrestle DP Ruto out of the Mt Kenya region.
"Our job was to send away these people away (UDA allies) and we have finished it, now our next job is to send them away from Mount Kenya," Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe earlier said.
