This is interesting given Kiraitu Murungi has severally made it clear that his support is solid in Meru County and even threatened to be the king of the region. He has severally pronounced himself as the kingpin of Meru politics making it clear he will rally the region to support Raila Odinga and Azimio coalition but seemingly the ground is slippery.
Kiraitu Murungi is paying for the crime of going against the deputy President William Ruto and the wave of UDA party in Meru County. The deputy President William Ruto is clear, he was on record pleading with Kiraitu to join him in Kenya Kwanza but he didn't succeed.
Kiraitu is facing huge competition from Linturi of UDA party who seems to be leading in this opinion polls. Linturi has staged a powerful onslaught against Azimio in Meru County and it's clear he is going to dethrone Kiraitu from office if all factors remains constant.
