Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama led the United Democratic Alliance brigade to Masinga sub county of Machakos county to campaign for their candidate Urbanus Muthama Ngengele.

In his speech, Muthama said that wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka does not listen to reason and that's why he left him.

Also, that is why Kamba leaders are being persecuted, giving an example of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko and Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.

He acknowledged that the Wiper party chose his ex-wife Agnes Kavindu as their candidate in an effort to spite him.

He said that he wasn't at all scared by Kavindu and likened her to a dog that barks but cannot attack.

"That is why you see that when it happened that there is a seat to vie for, he brought that someone so that I can bow out. Kalonzo should be told where he is passing there is nothing," he said.

"I will just say Kalonzo come and face me stop bringing a barking dog to threaten me I need the owner of the dog. Come baby come," he added.

His sentiments have angered the Wiper supporters who say the former senator called his ex-wife a dog thus affronting women.

As the date of the by-election in Machakos continue to draw near, the political heat is rising.

Every candidate is racing against time to prove they are the best for the senatorial seat.
