Kericho Leaders Attend the Burial of Thomas Arap Tobon in Belgut Constituency (Photos)

Mzee Kiprotich Arap Tobon who passed away on November 12 has been laid to rest at his home located in Kaplemeiwet village in Kapsuser ward.

A number of Kericho leaders graced the sendoff of the retired police officer who has been described by his MP, Nelson Koech as an informed and witty senior citizen who served the country with dedication during his hay days.

Leaders present at the Burial Ceremony included, Governor Dr Mutai, Beatrice Kemei (Kericho Women Rep), Nelson Koech (Belgut Mp), Former Deputy Governor Lily Ngok, Deputy Speaker Eric Bett and a number of Kericho MCAs.

On his Part Governor Dr Mutai said Mzee Tobon will be remembered for his depth of cultural knowledge and counsel he gave to the society. He promised to increase infrastructure and employees at Kipkoiyan Polytechnic as way of honouring Mzee Tobon who played an instrumental role in the establishment and growth of the Institution.

"In his honour we shall increase the Infrastructure and personnel at Kipkoiyan Polytechnic to suit the courses being offered." Dr Mutai said.
